Frequently asked questions
Helpful answers about coverage, assessment, funding, continuity and changing needs.
We primarily serve Wokingham, Reading and nearby Berkshire areas. Coverage depends on the type of support, required times and staff availability. Contact us with the postcode so we can confirm.
Start times vary. We first need enough information to determine whether we can meet the person’s needs safely. Urgent enquiries are considered, but we will not rush assessment, risk planning or staff matching.
Yes. Some people need occasional or weekly support, while others need daily, overnight or live-in care. Minimum visit lengths and availability should be confirmed when you enquire.
Personal care may be provided where it is within our current registration and forms part of an assessed and agreed care plan.
We may be able to provide short-term reablement or home support following discharge. We will need information about mobility, medication, equipment, risks and any professional recommendations.
Yes, where the person consents or where there is another appropriate legal basis. The individual’s wishes, rights and confidentiality remain central.
We aim for continuity and a small, suitable team. Exact arrangements depend on the package, staff availability, leave and the skills required.
Support may be privately funded, commissioned by a local authority or NHS body, or arranged through a personal budget or direct payment. Funding arrangements should be agreed before support starts.
Please tell us promptly. We review the plan and determine whether changes in hours, tasks, equipment, staffing or professional input are needed. We will be honest if changed needs are outside our scope.
Contact admin@ravenssupportservice.co.uk or 0118 469 3424. We will explain the complaints process, acknowledge the concern and keep you informed.
